Audit Logs

In this article, we will show you how you can track the adjustments to your event using the audit logs.

What are audit logs?

The audit logs document the activities of your evenito users and your contacts in this event. The logs record where, when, how and which adjustments were made by whom.

How can I see the logs?

In order to open the audit logs, please first click on the menu item "Event Dashboard" and then on the "Logs" tab at the top.

To view your audit logs, you must first set the filters for your search.

First, enter the time period you want to search under "Timeframe". To do this, simply click on the date display and select the desired time period.

Please note:

The period to be searched can be a maximum of 29 days.

Using the buttons to the left and right of your date display, you can now also jump forwards or backwards by the selected period. For example, if you select a period of 7 days, you can use the buttons to jump 7 days forward or backwards.

In the next step you select the type of entries you are looking for under "Type". You can choose between:

  • Check-ins and check-outs
  • Contacts
  • Virtual platform
  • Relations
  • Groups assigned to a contact
  • Tickets
  • Individual e-mail deliveries
  • Messages
  • E-Mail send-outs
  • RSVP forms
  • Contact information fields and questions
  • Adjustments to data forms in the RSVP
  • Websites

At least one selection is required here, but you can of course also select and search several or all areas at the same time. Finally, under "Action", you must select whether you want the "Changed", "Created" or "Deleted" entries to be displayed. You must also make at least one selection here. Click on the "Search" button on the bottom right to confirm your selection and start the search.

The following content is displayed now in the mask from left to right:

  • The 1st column shows the date and time when adjustments were made within your event.
  • Column 2 indicates where the adjustments were made or by whom. "Website (Open API)" declares that the changes were made by the contacts themselves, directly in the registration form on the website. Alternatively, there is also the possibility that a user, who is created in evenito, has made adjustments (e.g. to the messages) directly in the back office. If it is the activity of a participant (e.g. the check-in or check-out), this is listed as "Unknown actor".
  • Column 3 shows what type of editing was accomplished, e.g. "Contact edited" or "Message created/edited/deleted".
  • The last column shows in detail which changes have been made and where.

Please note:

The scope of the audit logs is gradually being expanded to include additional logs.

In addition to the general audit logs in the Event Center, you can also view the more specific logs for the contacts directly in the menu item "Contacts". You can find more information in this article.
