How do I participate in a virtual event on evenito connect?


My login for evenito connect

To open the virtual platform evenito connect, click on the link in the the e-mail you received from your organiser. You should then should open with the corresponding event.

If you are not automatically redirected to your virtual event, you will be asked to enter your token. you will be asked to enter your token. This was also communicated to you in the e-mail from your organiser.

How do I find my way around evenito connect?


As soon as you are logged in to evenito connect, you will be shown a link in the centre of the page, you will see the title of the event as well as a description with further information.

On the left-hand side you will find the Navigation bar with the Lobby and the Speakers, if this tab has been activated by your organiser. 

The speakers

Want to know which presenter(s) and speaker(s) will be at this event? Then click on the "Speakers" icon. In the overview you will now see all speakers and moderators involved in the event. To find out more about the individual speakers and their presentations, click on the respective person's profile.

Alternatively, the speakers are also listed per programme item, so that you can click on the respective profile in the programme overview.

The Lobby

The lobby is the hub of the platform. Return to it to, to jump to another programme item, for example. To do this, always click on the left in the navigation bar on the left and you will be taken back to the start page.

How do I join a schedule item?

To view and participate in the individual programme items, scroll down in the lobby:


There you can see the different event dates (for an event lasting several days) and programme points. The time on the left side on the left indicates the start time of the programme points listed. The complete duration is shown by the start and end time on the right side or below the respective schedule item.

The designation, e.g. "Keynote" or "Workshop", also indicates the type of schedule item. In most cases, the type type "Keynote" is accompanied by a livestream (also known as a webcast), for which you do not do not have any audio and video rights. The "Workshop" type, on the other hand a meeting in which you can participate (in most cases) with audio and video rights and actively exchange ideas with the other participants. 

Note: Depending on when your event takes place, next to the the schedule item "Enter" (takes place in the future), "Join" (is happing right in this moment) or "Repeat" (has already taken place) is displayed. 

To participate in each programme item, click the "Enter/Join" button on the right. The schedule item will open.

My participation in a livestream


After you have clicked on the "Enter/Join" button on the right in the lobby in your desired programme item, a new window will open.

In this format, also called webcast, the content is transmitted by one person or or group of people to a large number of viewers by means of video and audio.

Make sure that the sound of the stream is activated. For providers, it is switched off by default and must be activated by clicking on the by clicking on the transmitted live image or the volume slider.

As a participant, even with this variant you have no audio and video rights and can therefore neither speak nor turn on your camera. nor turn on your camera.

With the help of a (Q&A) chat or external voting tools (e.g. per Mentimeter or Slido) the moderators and speakers can interact with you. Whether and in what form this interaction takes depends on your organiser.

Below the stream, there is also further information on the programme item. In addition to the name of the item and the duration, this can also include content-related comments on the content. In addition, you have the option of viewing subsequent programme items and and jump directly to them without returning to the lobby.

My participation in a workshop or breakout room


After you have clicked on the "Enter/Join" button on the right in the lobby in your desired programme item, a new window will open.


Click on the "Join" button in this area to enter the meeting.

By default, all participants can take part in this audio and video meeting. can exchange information with each other in a direct conversation or via group chat. Make sure, make sure you have shared your microphone and camera.

Please note: Your organiser may be using an external tool such as external tool, such as Zoom, Teams or Webex for the workshops or breakout rooms. breakout rooms. How do I jump from one programme item to the next?

Basically, you can always return to the start page by clicking on the "lobby" icon on the left of the the navigation bar and from there jump to the next schedule item. 

Alternatively, however, it is also possible to jump to the programme item in which you are "currently", in which you are "currently" located. Below the window with the livestream or the many-to-many meeting, you will see the "Up Next" area. 

Click on the "Participate" button here and jump to the following programme item.


How do I use the chat?

On evenito connect a chat is available to you, provided it has been activated by your organiser.


By clicking on this icon Cursor_und_Wie_nehme_ich_an_einem_virtuellen_Event_auf_evenito_connect_teil_.jpg opens the sidebar with the chat. To communicate in it, click in the text field, enter your text and confirm your entry by clicking Enter.

Please note: 

  • This chat is a group chat, meaning your questions and answers can be viewed by all moderators, speakers and participants. 
  • The chat is not bound to any programme item, but can be used across the board. That is, if you are in the lobby and open the chat, you can continue this conversation within a programme point.
