In the preview of your message, you have the option of checking that your content is displayed correctly. You also have the option of sending test messages to yourself or your colleagues.

Do you want to make sure that your messages are displayed correctly or check how your message looks when the placeholders are filled with content? In evenito you have two options to take a closer look at how your message is displayed.
Firstly, open the desired message and make sure that you have already added one or more contacts to your event.
Preview function in the messages
You can use the preview function without having to send a message.
To do this, click on the "Preview" button at the top of your message and select your desired contact from the menu that opens. If the desired contact is not displayed directly, you also have the option of searching for a specific name.
You can then view the preview in both a desktop and a mobile device version by switching between the respective icons in the top right-hand corner.
To return to the editing screen of your message, click on the "Design" button.
Send test e-mail
If you would like to send yourself or your colleagues a test message, you can click on the "Send test e-mail" button in the top right-hand corner.
Now select a participant in the pop-up window that opens. The icon in front of the participant's name also shows you which language has been assigned to the respective participant in the event and therefore also the language in which you are opening the test message.
Please note:
In order for the e-mails to be displayed correctly in all languages used, they must first be set up in all languages. To do this, click on the language switcher within your message and enter the content as well as the subject, sender and sender name in the respective language.
The preview is now displayed with the participant's data. In this way, you can check whether the placeholders are displayed correctly.
If you now want to check not only the view for the one selected participant, but also the preview of several participants, simply click on the arrows at the top right to switch to the preview of the next participant.
If you want to send yourself the test e-mail, stay in the preview of the desired participant and click on the "Send test message" button below. You can then check the e-mail in your e-mail inbox.
By default, the test email is always sent to the e-mail address with which you are logged into evenito. Change the e-mail address stored in the recipient field of the test message manually, for example to send it to your colleague(s).
Attention:
If you only see a blank page with the message "Unknown error" in the preview, your message could not be personalised, e.g. due to an incorrect placeholder.
