To work even more efficiently, you have the option of creating templates in your Space. You can then create a website, a message or an event from these templates with just a few clicks.
In this article
Click on the arrow at the top left of your Space name to switch to the "Space settings". Select the menu item "Templates" and then the desired template tab in which you want to create, edit or delete a template.
Attention:
Creating, editing or deleting templates is only possible for users with the "Administrator" role.
Message template(s)
Create message template
Click on the plus symbol at the top right to create a new template. Then define the name of the template, the type (e.g. Save the Date, Invitation, etc.) and select the relevant teams that are authorised to access the template.
In the "Copy an existing template" dropdown, you can select an existing template as the basis or continue without a template and design it from scratch.
Please note:
Administrators determine which message templates should be displayed to which teams. Event managers will then only see those templates that are assigned to their team. For this reason, as an admin, make sure that they are assigned correctly.
Alternatively, you also have the option of creating a template from a message that has already been set up within an event. In this article, we will show you how to do this.
Edit message template
In order to edit the template, click on it to open the message editor. You can find more information about the message editor in this article.
Attention:
When you open the template (for the first time), it is initially displayed in English by default. Please use the language switcher to change to the desired language.
Once you have made your changes, save the adjustments using the "Save changes" button.
Please note:
Currently, the placeholder manager can only be accessed while editing the messages within the event. Would you like to use the placeholders anyway? You can find the most important placeholders in this article.
If you would like to adjust the team assignment of your message template later, click on the gear wheel in the top right-hand corner of your template and select the desired teams in the "Teams" dropdown in the message settings.
Delete message template
If you want to delete an existing template, move the cursor over the desired template. The garbage bin symbol appears on the right-hand side. After you have confirmed your deletion in the pop-up window, the template will be removed.
Website template(s)
Create website template
In order to create a new website template, click on "Website Template(s)" under Templates and then on the plus sign in the top right-hand corner.
Now define the name of the template, select the relevant teams that are authorised to use this template and select an existing template as the basis or continue without a template and design it from scratch.
Alternatively, you have the option of duplicating an existing template by hovering over the desired template and clicking on the copy icon .
You can also convert an existing website into a template within an event. To do this, first go to the event in which you have already created the desired website and open the website editing screen. Now select the three-dot symbol in the top right-hand corner of the website editor, click on "Create website template" and then give your template a name. The template is now saved in the "Space settings" in the “Templates” under "Website template(s)".

Edit website template
In order to edit your website template, click on it to open the website editor. You can find more information about the website editor in this article
Make the desired adjustments to your template and then save the template again.
If you would like to adjust the team assignment of your website template, click on the cogwheel in the top right-hand corner of the website template, select the "Domain" tab and enter the corresponding "Teams" in the dropdown of the same name.
Delete website template
If you want to delete an existing template, hover over the desired template with the cursor. The trash can icon appears on the right-hand side. After you have confirmed your deletion in the pop-up window, the template will be removed.
Event template(s)
In addition to copying events, you also have the option of converting them into templates. This is useful, for example, if you have events with different complexities or different event types (virtual, physical, hybrid).
Create event template
To create an event template, please return to the dashboard of your Space. Now move the mouse over the event that you want to convert into a template and click on this icon: .
In the next step, enter a name for your template and select the teams to which this event template should be displayed for. Click on "Create". The template is now stored in your "Space settings" under "Templates" in the "Event template(s)".
You can create as many templates as you like in this way.

Edit event template
An event template can no longer be edited once it has been created. If you want to customise an event template that has already been created, you first need to create an event from this template, make your adjustments in this event and then save this event as a new template.
Delete event template
To delete an event template, move the cursor over the desired template and click on the trash can icon. Confirm the process by clicking on the "Delete" button in the window that opens.
